Introducing BASF's New Deputy Executive Director

Lisa Handley Joins the Team as Deputy Executive Director

The Bar Association is excited to introduce a new addition to the team, Lisa Handley, who joined the Membership Services team on October 12 as the new Deputy Executive Director. Handley has extensive experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit worlds, driving social impact throughout various cultural, educational, and community programs. Most recently, Handley served as the Development Director at the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, a large-scale social service agency operating wrap-around services including the largest shelter in Northern California. Earlier in her career, Lisa managed the global Corporate Social Responsibility program and foundation at Orrick.

Handley is thrilled to be joining the team at BASF as Deputy Executive Director overseeing Membership Services. Her current role revolves around developing strategies and managing programs to increase participation at BASF. “I have such deep respect for the broad scope of services offered by both BASF and JDC. I’ve long admired its people and work that deeply enriches our legal community and vastly benefits those who rely on it. I’m proud to now be a team member myself and continue to build our thriving membership,” said Handley.

Handley is joining the team at an exciting time, as we prepare to celebrate BASF’s 150th anniversary in 2022. Click here to join the celebration and read more about the 150 years of legal excellence and service BASF has provided so far.

If you have any questions about current or future BASF programs, reach out to Handley at lhandley@sfbar.org.
