Julie Welsh, Esq. of Julie A. Welsh Mediation Services started her own mediation practice in 2007 after a 19 year career as an AV rated litigator with Archer Norris. Welsh was a partner in the firm's Walnut Creek office for 10 years before focusing her practice exclusively on mediation, which is her passion. Following completion of Pepperdine University's Mediation Training and Steven Rosenberg's Mediation Training (Basic and Advanced), she now mediates throughout the Bay Area, leveraging her trial experience in matters such as Personal Injury, Premises Liability, Product Liability, Medical Malpractice, Contract, Employment, Education, Disability Rights, Civil Rights, Title IX, Construction Contract, Construction Defect, Real Estate, HOA and Landlord-Tenant Disputes cases to facilitate resolutions at a settlement rate of 97%.

Mediation participants have often commented that Welsh has "a special talent" for resolving difficult cases, and assisting the parties in finding creative resolutions. Having established herself as a fair and neutral mediator, Welsh is regularly requested by both counsel for Plaintiffs as well as Defendants.

In addition to having her own private mediation practice, Welsh serves as a Mediator on the Contra Costa County ADR Panel. She formerly served as a Pro Tem Judge for the State of CA, Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH), for over 10 years. Welsh is a "double Bronco," having graduated from Santa Clara University for both undergraduate and law school. After arbitrating and trying cases as a litigator for 19 years, Welsh recognizes that mediation is in fact the most beneficial and cost effective way to resolve disputes.
