The Legal Alliance for Reproductive Rights (LARR) is a program committed to providing guidance to organizations and groups seeking legal information and advice. This alliance consists of legal service providers across a nationwide network.

Simona Agnolucci is a partner in the Litigation Department, Managing Partner of Willkie Farr & Gallagher's San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Simona focuses on high-stakes complex litigation, including class actions, bet-the-company commercial disputes and white collar criminal defense. Simona has an active pro bono practice, in which she primarily represents women fleeing gender-based persecution. Her groundbreaking pro bono work has been recognized by national media, including the New York Times.

Kelly Dermody

Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein

Kelly Dermody is Managing Partner of the San Francisco office of Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein. She served as 2012 President of the Bar Association of San Francisco and is Immediate Past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Section of Labor and Employment Law. Kelly specializes in civil rights and employment class and collective actions on behalf of plaintiffs, and individual cases addressing sexual abuse, racial equity, harassment, and trafficking. Kelly is a nationally-recognized advocate in the areas of pay equity, #metoo, and diversity and inclusion.

Teresa Johnson serves as a trusted advisor to the C suite and board members, working closely with boards of directors in the boardroom and in committee meetings. In her corporate governance work and thought leadership, Teresa has focused in particular on board diversity, stakeholder capitalism and other ESG matters. Teresa has been recognized by the Daily Journal as one of the top 25 corporate transaction attorneys on the publication's annual list of the "Top 100 Women Lawyers."

Karen Johnson-McKewan

Karen Johnson-McKewan is a senior litigation partner at Orrick, and her practice focuses on litigation that crosses the boundaries between traditional legal practices, and therefore requires inventive and strategic approaches. These solutions, tucked in the creases between law and industry, are why leading technology and Fortune 500 companies hire Karen to resolve their most complex litigation matters. In addition, Karen has been a longtime advocate for reproductive rights: she led a team in Kentucky to secure a license for Planned Parenthood to provide abortion services in Louisville, and has advised Planned Parenthood on litigation strategy in multiple jurisdictions in the Post-Dobbs era. Karen is currently leading teams in California providing advice on legislative and other solutions to protect both providers of reproductive health services and their patients. Karen is currently a member of the Orrick Board of Directors.

Mary McNamara served as 2022 President of the Bar Association of San Francisco, leading the association's launch of the Legal Alliance for Reproductive Rights with the San Francisco City Attorney's Office.

As partner at Swanson & McNamara, Mary specializes in white-collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation. Mary is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell, and is recognized in Band 1 of Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers, White Collar Crime & Government investigations. Mary has been a Northern California Super Lawyer every year since 2004 and was also named Best Lawyers 2012 Lawyer of the Year in White Collar Criminal Defense in San Francisco.

Peggy Otum is chair of WilmerHale’s Energy, Environment and Natural Resources group. Peggy represents large corporations, public companies and universities in federal and state environmental enforcement matters and litigation. As a leader in the firm’s ESG cross-functional group, Peggy actively advises clients on evolving legal and business considerations related to ESG risks and opportunities, including climate change, environmental justice, and racial equity. Peggy is a fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers and serves on the Board of Directors of the Environmental Law Institute. She is also a member of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Advisory Council.
