Leader Circle Firms Recognized Healthy Mothers Workplace Coalition

The Healthy Mothers Workplace Coalition is a collaboration of non-profit organizations, government agencies and employers created to improve the working conditions and health of new parents.
Farella Braun + Martel Honored by YouthJobs+ Initiative
BASF Leader Circle firm Farella Braun + Martel recently was honored with a High Achiever Award by the YouthJobs+ initiative. The award is given to employers that went beyond the call in getting San Francisco youth employed.
The award recognizes Farella for its High School Pipeline Internship Program. Since its launch in 2007, the program has provided 40 high school students with a unique opportunity to learn about the legal profession through a hands-on six-week paid summer internship program. The groundbreaking educational program targets diverse or disadvantaged Bay Area high school students with the objectives of exposing them to the possibilities of a legal career.

Dean Fealk Appointed to Advisory Board
Dean Fealk, a partner at DLA Piper, has been appointed to the California-China Advisory Board and the board of directors of the California-China Office of Trade and Investment (CTO). The CTO is California’s central vehicle for promoting both trade and investment between the state and China, particularly in the innovative environmental technologies, life sciences and financial services industries.
The California-China Advisory Board ensures that the CTO is guided by sound business strategies and that its programs deliver results.
