Yolanda Jackson

Yolanda leads two organizations that focus on excellence in the legal profession and community service. Connected by the shared values of fairness and equality, both organizations actively promote diversity in the legal profession.
Yolanda has years of experience as a litigator, mediator, arbitrator, trainer and facilitator, and has helped businesses address diversity and organizational development needs. As an adjunct professor, Yolanda has taught at UC Hastings College of the Law and Golden Gate University Law School. She has served on the boards of numerous professional and community organizations and has won several awards, including the District 17 Woman of the Year Award, the California Association of Black Lawyers President’s Award, the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California “Gil Lopez Award”, the League of Women Voters of San Francisco’s “Women Who Could Be President” award, the National Diversity Council’s “California’s Most Powerful and Influential Women” and the National Bar Association Presidential Award. Much of Yolanda's volunteer time is spent on mentoring and creating networking opportunities for others.

Carole provides leadership for the San-Francisco- Marin Lawyer Referral and Information Service and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Service.

Teresa Friend
Director and Managing Attorney, Homeless Advocacy Project, JDC
Teresa leads JDC's largest individual project, helping more than 2,000 people each year who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Deputy Executive Director, BASF
Jack develops strategies and oversees programs to increase participation at BASF.

Julie's team works with the San Francisco Superior Court to qualify and schedule attorneys to provide high-quality legal representation of indigent clients.

Shuwaski Young
Director of Donor and Community Engagement, JDC
Shuwaski oversees fundraising efforts, connecting with individuals, law firms, corporations and grantors to raise much-needed support for JDC programs.
