More than 60 guests attended the In-House Counsel Diversity Awards Reception, hosted by Schiff Hardin on July 29.

BASF/JDC Executive Director Yolanda Jackson presented the Individual Award to Kimberly L. Taylor of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and the Company Award was presented to General Counsel Vanessa Washington on behalf of Bank of the West.

Bank of the West was recognized for its work as a 1L Open Doors Job Shadow Program host; serving as a No Glass Ceiling Signatory firm; and for the work of Vice President and Senior Counsel Michal Sears, a JDC board member, who helped develop best practices suggestions for the upcoming 2015 Goals & Timetables report.

Kimberly Taylor was recognized for her outstanding commitment to diversity and the BASF and JDC programs designed to increase and enhance diversity in the legal profession, including the Mock Trial program, where she served as program chair.  Taylor also is a JDC board member and 2015 JDC Annual Gala co-chair.
