Governor Brown recently announced the appointment of BASF member Christine Van Aken to a judgeship in San Francisco County Superior Court.

Van Aken serves on BASF’s Amicus Curiae Committee and has been chief of appellate litigation at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office since 2012, where she has served as a deputy city attorney since 2006. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Nancy Davis.
