Four 2017 Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship recipients were honored during a reception on September 7 at Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass.

Each student was introduced by the donor of their scholarship, then students told of their journey to law school and how much the scholarship meant to them.

The recipients included Ramon Becerra-Alcantar, UC Hastings, who received the Shanna Yvette Bradford Scholarship of the Arthur and Charlotte Zitrin Foundation; Ana Orozco Cortez, UC Davis School of Law, who received the Stuart Plunkett Scholarship; Lucy Garcia, UC Hastings, who received the Morrison & Foerster Foundation Scholarship; and Anna Rodriguez, UC Berkeley School of Law, who received the Joseph “Joe” Remcho Scholarship donated by Dr. Ruth Shaber.

Other scholarship recipients in attendance were Adriana Mendez, 3L UC Hastings, Lucina Rios, 3L UC Hastings, and Jamal Jackson, 2L Golden Gate University School of Law.
