The Justice and Diversity Center invites youth ages 14-19 to celebrate 2020’s Law Day theme “Your Vote, Your Voice, Our Democracy: The 19th Amendment at 100.”
This year's theme commemorates the centennial of the transformative constitutional amendment that guaranteed that the right of citizens to vote would not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of sex. American women fought for, and won, the vote through their voices and actions.
Bay Area Youth ages 14-19 can participate in two ways:
Video Submission ($250 Prize)
Create and upload an original video with a maximum of 2 minutes in length., discussing why you believe the 19th Amendment is important today.
Meme Submission: ($100 Prize)
Create and upload an original meme, discussing why you believe the 19th Amendment is important today.
Note: Participants can choose to participate in either one or both of the contests but are only eligible to receive one prize.
Deadline to submit materials: Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
