Whether you are submitting an application to join this award-winning program for the first time or are a renewing member, now is the time to submit your attorney agreement and area of law panel applications. The Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) membership year runs from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. Basic membership in the service is only $200. BASF members receive a deep discount and pay just $125.

In addition to the benefits of receiving referrals of thoroughly pre-screened, viable cases, LRIS members also enjoy a 20 percent discounted BASF mediation administrative fee for both sides in an LRIS case.

When representing an LRIS client, your referral fees give back to the community through the School-To-College and the Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship programs of the Justice & Diversity Center of The Bar Association of San Francisco.

Membership is beneficial to solo and small firm practitioners as well as to associates in large firms. Referrals span the legal spectrum with initial case screening handled by a team of multi-lingual legal interviewers. LRIS maintains an active and visible presence in the community through radio, television, transit, and online marketing, as well as partnerships with the business community, district supervisors, and government and social service organizations. LRIS serves as a vital resource to families, individuals, and businesses throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
