BASF Board Votes to Co-Sponsor ABA Resolution Regarding Immigrant Safeguards


The BASF Board of Directors on January 18, 2017, voted to co-sponsor an American Bar Association resolution which would recommend keeping in place current safeguards for immigrant and asylum-seeking children who have come into the US unaccompanied.  The resolution stated “the American Bar Association supports the preservation and development of ‎laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that protect or increase due process and other safeguards for  immigrant and asylum-seeking children, especially those who have entered the United States without a parent or legal guardian, including as provided in Section 235 of the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 and Section 462 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002.”
