Legal Community Raises More Than $689,000 Through SF-Marin Food Bank’s Food From The Bar Campaign

June 24, 2016 – San Francisco -- The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) and the SF-Marin Food Bank celebrated the results of the annual Food From the Bar (FFTB) Campaign at an awards ceremony at Wine and Wall restaurant on June 23. FFTB is the legal community’s annual fundraising drive to benefit the SF-Marin Food Bank.

The campaign included 63 participating organizations in San Francisco and Marin County raising more than $689,182; collecting 6,299 pounds of food; and contributing 1,724 volunteer hours at the food bank.

Paul Ash, Executive Director of the SF-Marin Food Bank, had this to say about the campaign, “We are thrilled by the success of this year’s Food From the Bar and grateful to BASF and all of its members for their individual and collective support. Together, we’re feeding thousands of neighbors every day, while working toward our larger goal of a hunger-free community, where everyone is able to obtain – without hardship - the nutritious food they need to thrive.”

Money donated, food collected and volunteer time help distribute millions of pounds of food to more than 450 pantries and agencies serving hungry people throughout San Francisco and Marin.
Awards were announced as follows:
