The Bar Association of San Francisco Responds to Governor Brown’s Revised Budget

May 15, 2014

On behalf of The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF), we applaud Governor Jerry Brown for proposing a revised budget calling for a two year plan to send additional money to California’s court system.

We also thank our local legislators for their ongoing efforts in support of adequate funding for our California courts.

Courts that function well and provide access to justice are critically important to our BASF members, our legal services clients, our community and our state and local economy.

Our BASF Board of Directors and our BASF members will continue to work with the governor, our legislative representatives and leaders of our court system to raise awareness about the funding needs of the court system and to insure that our California courts receive sufficient funding to provide access to justice for the people and business of our state.
