The Bar Association of San Francisco Foundation Appoints Five New Members


January 22, 2009 - San Francisco -- The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) Foundation recently announced the appointment of five new members to its board of directors.

Kamili Dawson is a partner in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. She defends employers and individual employees in single and multi-plaintiff sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour and contract claims brought under federal and state law.

Pamela Fulmer is a partner at Jones Day and is a member of its Business Development and Diversity Committees. Her practice focuses primarily on patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property disputes.

Teresa Johnson is a director with Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin, PC and serves on its Management Committee. Her practice focuses on corporate and commercial matters, including financing transactions, manufacturing and commercial agreements and securities. 

Patrick Thompson is a partner in Goodwin Proctor's Litigation Department. He specializes in antitrust, telecommunications and complex litigation matters.

L. Julius M. Turman is of counsel in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. He has tried to verdict, jury and bench trials, and has defended management in wrongful termination and employment discrimination litigation, including race, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, religious and hostile environment harassment.

The new board members will join current Foundation board members, including President Tracy Salisbury, Shartsis Friese LLP; Treasurer Fey Epling, Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP; Merri Baldwin , Chapman, Popik & White; Peter H. Carson, Bingham McCutchen LLP; Jennifer Golinveaux, Winston & Strawn; Stuart Plunkett, Morrison & Foerster LLP; Christine Richardson, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP; and Jonathan Storper, Hanson Bridgett LLP.

The BASF Foundation is charged with raising funds for BASF's youth, diversity and charitable programs, including BASF's flagship Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP).
