Charles Houston Bar Association Recognizes BASF's Diversity Efforts

November 15, 2007 -- The Charles Houston Bar Association (CHBA) recently announced that it will honor The Bar Association of San Francisco as the first-ever organization to receive its Community Advocacy Award in recognition of its diversity work.

Additionally, BASF member Eva Jefferson Paterson, Equal Justice Society, will be inducted into CHBA’s Hall of Fame and BASF Sponsor Firm Seyfarth Shaw LLP will be honored with its Corporate Recognition Award.

The awards will be presented at CHBA’s Annual Gala Dinner and Dance on December 1.

Founded in 1955, CHBA is committed to working within the African American community to facilitate access to the justice system and to promote equal protection under the law.

The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) is a nonprofit voluntary membership organization of over 8,000 attorneys, law students and legal professionals in the Bay Area.
