BASF Nominates New Officers and Directors


San Francisco, September 15, 2006 -- The Bar Association of San Francisco's 2006 Nominating Committee has nominated five directors to serve on the BASF Board of Directors. The nominating committee, chaired by immediate past president Jim Finberg, also recommended candidates for the offices of President-Elect, Treasurer and Secretary of the Association.

The committee nominated Nanci Clarence, of Clarence & Dyer, LLP as President; James Donato, Cooley Godward LLP as President-Elect; Russ Roeca of Roeca Haas Hager LLP as Treasurer; and Arturo González of Morrison & Foerster LLP as Secretary to complete the slate of 2007 officers.

Nominated as directors to serve for three-year terms beginning 2007 are:

Laurel Beeler, U.S. Attorney’s Office

Nicole Harris, Pacific Gas & Electric, Law Department

Christopher Kearney, Keker & Van Nest LLP

Bill Lann Lee, Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein LLP

Lorie Nachlis, Nachlis & Fink

Members of the Association may petition to run for a seat on the Board of Directors or for the offices of President-Elect, Treasurer or Secretary. The petition, which must be signed by 1% (75) active members of the Association, must be received in the Association offices no later than noon, Tuesday, October 10. If there is more than one nominee for any office, or more than five nominees for director, an election of BASF members will be held.
