JDC’s programs serve more than 9,000 people a year. We help the community’s most vulnerable members with accessing the justice system and strengthening their personal, professional, and economic security.

Tax-Deductible Giving

Ask your Human Resources department about gift matching. If your company matches gifts, your Human Resources department will give you gift matching form to complete. Please send that form to us, and your gift to JDC will be doubled.
Volunteering
Take a look at the many volunteer opportunities for attorneys and non-attorneys in our legal services and educational programs. We also offer opportunities for law firms and/or in-house legal counsel departments to volunteer as teams. Contact probono@sfbar.org to ask about volunteer opportunities for your team.

Stock Gifts
If you'd like to give a gift of stock, here are the steps to follow:

Send an email to yjackson@sfbar.org notifying us of your decision to make a donation of stock. We will follow up and send you an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes.
Cy Pres
A cy pres award is the distribution of residual money from a class action settlement to a charitable organization. Our programs benefit every year from cy pres awards directed to our programs by trial attorneys who know that JDC is a highly suitable candidate for these class action residuals (and other funds resulting from lawsuits).
