Prepare for 2018 & Beyond - Free Legal Clinic for Nonprofits – February 15, 2018

Open to nonprofits serving low-income or underserved communities in Northern California, participating organizations will work one-on-one with experienced attorneys to receive a free legal health check-up, covering areas such as:

  • Changes to California and Federal Law in 2018
  • Employment and Human Resources
  • Corporate Governance
  • Tax Reporting and Compliance
  • Finances and Fiscal Management
  • Real Estate and Leases
  • … And More!

Whether your nonprofit has a legal ‘to-do’ list or you simply want to make sure it’s in good shape for 2018 and beyond, this clinic helps organizations address legal questions, flag issues before they become problems, and provide post-clinic legal support as needed.

The Community Organization Representation Project (CORP) partnered with over 30 local nonprofits at legal clinics in 2017, placing over 20 follow-up matters with pro bono attorneys. Email CORP paralegal Wint Huskey to request an application or find out more about this unique opportunity.

Our award-winning program changes lives by using a holistic approach that offers social services as well as legal assistance.

3 Things You Can Do to Help CORP Advance Its Work:

2. Volunteer: Join over 1,100 attorneys that work to enhance the lives of low-income individuals and the organizations that serve them.

3. Spread the Word: Tell your friends that work for nonprofits about CORP -- a project that provides free legal services to organizations in Northern California. Email for more information.
