Breaking Down Barriers: Overcoming Discrimination Against Lawyers with Disabilities Breaking Down Barriers is a thirty-minute training video which profiles a number of law students and lawyers with various physical and mental disabilities to help inspire law schools to expand their admission of people with disabilities and legal employers to hire them. The film contains detailed information about the surprisingly inexpensive technology and minor accommodations that enable these lawyers to practice in any legal environment and includes a dramatic sequence highlighting the do's and don'ts of interviewing job candidates with disabilities. A Firm Commitment A Firm Commitment is a fast-paced, highly informative 30-minute award-winning training video that focuses on problems and solutions in achieving and maintaining racial and ethnic diversity in the legal workplace. It is accompanied by an excellent trainer's manual and is available for order. Manual of Model Policies and Programs to Achieve Equality of Opportunity in the Legal Profession The Manual contains a selection of model policies and programs adopted by the Board of Directors of BASF between 1989 and 1994, and subsequently disseminated for adoption, endorsement or participation by its 400 sponsoring law firms, corporate law departments and law schools.
