BASF, BALIF, NALP Gay & Lesbian Sensitive Contact InfoThe Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) has been a pioneer among bar associations working to ensure workplace equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) lawyers. BASF established its Committee on Equality in 1986, and branching off from that, in 1990, established its Committee on Sexual Orientation Issues. This committee was formed to address specific needs of lesbian and gay lawyers, and later broadened its focus to include all LGBT attorneys.
