Food From the Bar 2015

The 2015 Food From the Bar Campaign ran from April 27 - June 5, 2015. Campaign results will be posted soon.


Each spring The Bar Association of San Francisco and the legal community partners with the SF-Marin Food Bank to fight hunger through the Food From the Bar campaign.

The campaign provides critical funds to support summer food programs that make sure kids get the nutrition they need to live healthy and productive lives and is the largest and longest running fundraiser for the Food Bank by a single profession.

2014 Food From the Bar Campaign Results

The 2014 campaign was very successful including 65 participating organizations in San Francisco and Marin County. A record $694,500 was raised; 6,245 pounds of food was donated; and volunteers contributed 821 shifts at the two food banks.

Money donated, food collected and volunteer time help distribute millions of pounds of food to more than 450 pantries and agencies serving hungry people throughout San Francisco and Marin.

Top awards:

  • The “Top Fundraising” honor went to, for the seventh year in a row, the Fremont Group, who has raised more money than any other fundraising drive in San Francisco and Marin Food Bank history, with an amazing $127,766 raised!
  • Bechtel Corporation was recognized as the “Top Foodraiser” bringing in 697 pounds of food
  • The “Top Volunteer” award went to Gap Legal, for mobilizing 100 volunteer shifts
  • The “Per Capita Grand Prize” went to Munger, Tolles & Olson for raising the most money per person
