Food From the Bar 2014

The 2014 Food From the Bar Campaign will run from April 28 - June 6, 2014. Registration will open on March 3 at


Each spring The Bar Association of San Francisco and the legal community partners with the SF-Marin Food Bank to fight hunger through the Food From the Bar campaign.

The campaign provides critical funds to support summer food programs that make sure kids get the nutrition they need to live healthy and productive lives and is the largest and longest running fundraiser for the Food Bank by a single profession.

2013 Food from the Bar Campaign Results

The 2013 campaign was very successful including 73 participating organizations in San Francisco and Marin County. A record $600, 760 was raised; 6,721 pounds of food was donated; and volunteers contributed 902 volunteer shifts at the food bank.

Money donated, food collected and volunteer time help distribute millions of pounds of food to more than 450 pantries and agencies serving hungry people throughout San Francisco and Marin.

Top awards:

  • Top Fundraising: For the sixth year in a row, the Fremont Group, who has raised more money than any other fundraising drive in San Francisco Food Bank history, with an amazing $107,072 raised!
  • Most Creative: Hanson Bridget thanks in large part to their Partner Sumo Wrestling Event.
  • Small/Solo: Kaufhold Gaskin where a 3-person team raised $3,000.
  • Top Foodraiser: Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe bringing in 765 pounds of food.
  • Top Volunteer: Pacific Gas & Electric for mobilizing 89 volunteer shifts.
  • Per Capita Grand Prize: Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP for raising the most money per person.
