Senior Lawyers

BASF’s Senior Lawyers Section serves both the professional and personal interests of attorneys who have been in practice for at least 25 years or have reached the age of 55.  Lawyers in this section have very valuable experiences, talents, and interests.  Many may be considering whether to continue their full-time legal career while others may be in transition to a new position, a reduced time commitment in their current position, or retirement from a full-time legal career. 

The purpose of this section is to:

  1. Provide opportunities for you to continue utilizing your expertise in:
    • Full-time or part-time law practice
    • Other areas of employment
    • Pro bono and civic service
    • Mentoring young attorneys
    • Serving on boards of directors for business and charitable organizations
    • Lecturing and writing
  2. Provide programs and services tailored to your needs when it comes to:
    • Job opportunities
    • CLE programs
    • Career transition and counseling
    • Pro bono training
    • Networking and social activities
    • Quality of life such as travel and recreation
    • Financial and retirement planning
    • Transitioning / selling your practice
