BASF’s Career Fair Brings Diverse Law Students to Bay Area Firms


On Saturday, July 31, BASF and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe hosted the Sixth Annual Bay Area Diversity Career Fair. Approximately 200 rising 2L students from law schools across the country interviewed with attorneys from 46 law firms and government and non-profit agencies.

The weekend opened with a Welcome Reception at Orrick’s San Francisco office on Friday night, followed by a Saturday morning Breakfast Panel, “Pathways to Success for Diverse Attorneys.” Panelists included Judge James Ware, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California; Tuan Pham, Goodwin Proctor; Angela Padilla, VMware; Paul Henderson, San Francisco District Attorney’s Office; BASF President-Elect Priya Sanger, Wells Fargo & Company Law Department; and Neel Chatterjee, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Orrick’s Darren Teshima was the moderator.
