International Law Section Chair Profile: Jerome Roth

 

Jerome Roth is a litigation partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson specializing in business and international litigation and white collar defense. He is the 2011 chair of the International Law Section for BASF and is presenting their inaugural seminar on July 14 at noon, titled “Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: How the Government Calculates Damages – What Every Company Needs to Know About How the SEC and DOJ Think About FCPA Damages.”

Mark Hair is a CPA at the StoneTurn Group and he will join Roth in discussing the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The program will be held at BASF and lunch will be provided by Munger, Tolles & Olson to celebrate Bastille Day.

Jerome RothIn addition to his work with BASF, Roth is an active member of the San Francisco and Sonoma communities. He has been a member of the Board of the French American International School and the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Society.

He is the President-Elect of the American section of the Union Internationale des Avocats based in Paris and co-director of its International Human Rights Committee. Roth recently received a French-language Master’s Degree in European business law from the Université de Paris II. He is a graduate magna cum laude from Harvard Law School where he was the editor of the Harvard Law Review.
