San Francisco Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer to Join Panel at Barristers Club Annual Meeting on October 26

The Barristers Club recently announced that San Francisco Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer is the newest addition to the judges panel that will take place at the club’s Annual Meeting on Friday, October 26.

Judge Kramer will join United States District Court Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley; Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Marsha S. Berzon; and First District Court of Appeal Associate Justice Maria Rivera for the afternoon panel that will focus on:

  • Avoiding courtroom mistakes as a new lawyer
  • Writing briefs that improve your chance to win motions and build your credibility
  • Excelling in client service in and out of the courtroom

This full-day event, which offers five hours of CLE for only $99, is designed to give members the opportunity to further their professional development and to network with their peers.

CLE topics range from “How the Internet and Social Media Affect Jury Trials” to “Avoiding Ethical or Practical Pitfalls When Doing Pro Bono Work.”

Another highlight of the meeting is a presentation on Using Technology Efficiently in the Courtroom, given by Cogent Legal’s Morgan Smith. In another session, Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Hanni M. Fakhoury, will discuss “GPS as the New Constable” and applying the 4th Amendment in the cyber world.
Legal Ethics and Professional Licensing Attorney Carol Langford will give the morning keynote presentation.
