Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers Club Program Overview

The Barristers Club  is comprised of members of The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) in their first ten years of practice, as well as BASF members who are law students.

The Barristers Club was founded in 1927 to promote fellowship among the newer members of the legal profession. The Barristers Club holds numerous CLE seminars, social and networking events throughout the year,

You will automatically become a member of the Barristers Club when you join BASF.


Each year the Barristers Club Board of Directors names up to three Outstanding Barrister Club members in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the Barristers Club, commitment to the ideals of legal justice and professional excellence, promotion of the Club’s role in the legal community, leadership within the organization, and motivation of other volunteers. Recipients will be honored at the BASF Annual Luncheon on December 17, 2019.

Nomination forms are being accepted until October 22nd. To nominate an Outstanding Barrister, submit a nomination form to containing a brief statement describing the nominee’s qualifications for the award, focusing on the nominee’s contributions to the Club and other areas of service (current Barristers Board members and previous recipients are not eligible for a nomination).

Nominations are due 5:00 p.m. on October 22, 2019.
