Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers Club Committees

Law Academy Mentoring

The Law Academy Mentoring Program offers attorneys, law students, and other professionals in the legal community the opportunity to mentor high school students attending Balboa and Mission High Schools.

Mentors have the opportunity to meet with students in either a classroom setting or on a one-on-one basis. The mentorship curriculum emphasizes analytical skills, resume writing, public speaking, interview training, as well as basic legal concepts. The program culminates with the students interviewing for summer jobs in law offices around San Francisco.

Mentors are an integral part of the students' development of life skills and preparation for the working world, hopefully as future professionals.
