Roger Sleight has been a lawyer for more than 42 years with Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP, primarily handling the defense of litigation ranging from contracts and product liability to professional negligence and virtually all areas of insurance. He is currently "Of Counsel."

Sleight serves as Judge Pro Tem for the San Francisco Superior Court, handling small claims appeals and settlement conferences. He has been an arbitrator for more than 45 cases in the San Francisco Superior Court and San Francisco Municipal Court as well as a settlement judge for more than 50 cases for The Bar Association of San Francisco.

Courts: Tried more than 80 cases to verdict in both state and federal courts throughout California, including more than 20 insurance and "bad faith" cases. Briefed and argued numerous appeals in the California District Courts of Appeal, California Supreme Court, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Management: Ten years as managing partner of Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold, a national and international law firm. The firm has offices in many locations, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Irvine, Zurich and London, and more recently New Jersey and Dallas. The firm has expertise in a broad spectrum of practice areas. Management responsibility included personnel, both lawyer and non-lawyer; establishing and achieving business plans; communications with lawyers, staff, and clients; financial planning and controls.
