A graduate of Boalt Hall, Mark Gainer has practiced in firms and as general counsel for a number of years. In addition, he has been involved in several business enterprises including real estate and business opportunity brokerage. Ten years ago Gainer started Legal Additions LLC, which provides legal search and recruitment (direct hire/contract) for law firms and corporate legal departments as well as business mediations. His mediation training includes courses with The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF), Association of Attorney Mediators and Northern California Mediation Association. For a number of years, Gainer was on the Board of Directors of The Mediation Society, which is a 100-member organization of prominent Bay Area mediators, including members of AAA and JAMS. Gainer has mediated a broad spectrum of civil disputes. These encompass attorney-client disputes for BASF in which underlying subject matter has included trusts, employment termination, debt collection, real property allocation involving overseas investors, partnership dissolution and immigration. In addition, he has successfully mediated disputes involving sale of small businesses, real estate, sophisticated UCC equipment leases, employment matters, and intellectual property work product produced by an independent contractor. In the past, Gainer has been an arbitrator for the Pacific Exchange and hearing officer for the San Francisco Office of Citizens' Complaints. His wide-ranging experience as an attorney, small business owner, mediator and arbitrator equips him to effectively and efficiently resolve difficult conflicts. Hourly Rate: $350 |
