George Brewster has more than 30 years experience in business and dispute resolution including CEO/COO positions in public and private companies; real estate development, investment and asset management; public and private equity advisory and investment; financial and estate planning; public policy and non-profit management; board experience with financial and environmental organizations; and teaching and writing. Brewster is a graduate of Columbia University Law School (joint JD/MBA program) and Bard College.

Alternative Dispute Resolution training includes: Pepperdine University School of Law; The Center for Mediation in Law; Advanced Mediation Skills Workshop; Marin Mediation Services; California Center for Land Recycling, Instructor-Negotiating Environmental Remediation Plans; Columbia University School of Law; Alternative approaches to landlord/tenant disputes and research project (published as a law review article) for Federal Trade Commission.

Professional experience includes the practice of real estate law in New York City; CEO of Heritage Homes; Vice President of Bankers Mortgage Corporation; Vice President and Director of Real Estate for Calmark Asset Management; and Vice President of Consolidated Capital. Brewster co-founded BayGroup Property Advisors in 1987, a real estate investment and development advisory firm whose clients included Bank of America, San Francisco Federal Savings, Visa USA/International and the William Simon Group. Brewster was the founding Executive Director of the California Center for Land Recycling in 1996, a 501(c)(3) organization funded by The Trust for Public Land and The James Irvine Foundation. Brewster's analysis of public policies relating to environmental remediation and brownfield redevelopment led to the enactment of California legislation to streamline, rationalize and promote the reuse of infill sites for housing, parks and community services.
