Eileen Barker is a full-time mediator who conducts mediations throughout the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Oakland and Marin. Over the past fifteen years, Barker has mediated hundreds of cases in a wide range of subject matters. Barker has served as a mediator for numerous federal and state courts and agencies. She has also served as an arbitrator, discovery referee and neutral evaluator. Prior to starting her mediation practice, Barker practiced litigation for a number of years. Barker graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1978, and has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Indiana University with distinction. Following a clerkship with the D.C. Court of Appeals, she worked as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and then as a litigation associate for the firms of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and Bianchi, Engel, Keegin & Talkington. In addition to her private practice, Barker teaches courses on mediation, conflict resolution, and negotiation at Boalt Hall School of Law, UC Hastings College of the Law, JFK University and Sonoma State University. She also provides consulting services, facilitation and custom-designed trainings for a variety of businesses and organizations. Hourly Rate: $350 to $450 |
